They also encode detailed material information on the RFID tag. The tag is “read” by the security gate and the signal is sent to your ILS. When an item that was not properly checked out passes through the gates the ILS is able to connect the type and title of the material that triggered the alarm, which is immediately communicated to the staff workstations.
